Since the Lunar New Year is just around the corner, I’ve decided to create this Chinese New Year makeup inspired by the year of the Red Monkey! This look is filled with gold and red which represent wealth and luck! I know that there’s a lot of different cultures who celebrate the Lunar New Year, so I’ll be referring it as Lunar New Year instead of Chinese New Year. I wrote Chinese New Year on the title for SEO purposes. I hope that’s ok with everyone!
As promised, here’s a how to reverse contour tutorial. I’ve come to a realization that there has been a few beauty vloggers and bloggers who attempted the Reverse Contour technique using very dark and very light foundations. Let me stop you right there! Using shades that are way too dark and too light for your skin do not work! The Eve Pearl Reverse Contouring technique does NOT use foundations/concealers that are TOO light and too dark. Instead, this technique actually uses 2 foundation colors that are very similar in shade to each other.
Today’s Glamorous Evening Makeup video tutorial is going to be slightly different. Instead of doing the makeup on myself, I’m doing it on my bff, Liz. She was going out for a party last Saturday night, and I wanted to make her look glam for the event. Liz is about a shade or two darker than me (1 shade darker in the Winter, and 2 in the Summer), and she has these amazing big gorgeous eyes and high cheekbones. I’ve been wanting to write this ChopSaver Review for a while, but since I wanted to push my youtube tutorials first, I decided to postpone this post until today. Anyways, just a quick background story, I received a sample of the Chopsaver a few days after New Year, and since the weather has been getting colder, my lips have been pretty dry and chappy lately. I’m quite picky with lip products since I have quite sensitive lips. I’ve tried several lip balms but I just didn’t like how some of them feel too goey/sticky on my lips, while some are just simply not moisturizing enough.

Today’s Gold New Year Party Makeup tutorial would by my last post for 2015. Almost time for 2016, and so I shall end 2015 with a gold sparkly makeup. This look is super simple, and it doesn’t require much. It’s sparkly, it’s light, it’s super pretty for the New Year. I, myself, prefer this kind of look to attend parties and such.
