Everyone is great to work with!!! Just soooo awesome! =D

have a great weekend everyoooone! <3

Dark Emerald

Yay! Tutorial! Finally! lol…anyways..I was going to do a Christmas makeup look, but instead I was inspired by the movie “The Grinch Stole Christmas”. Today’s look is a dark green eyeshadow..ok fine! It’s a smoky eyes look. So eaaassyyy and sooo prettty!

Products used:

Eyeshadow: NARS Night porter

Eyeliner: dior black pencil eyeliner

Blush: Laura Mercier apricot blush

Lipstick: Revlon nude attitude

So, a lot of people has been asking me how to do winged eyeliner over and over and over again. This is another tutorial which explains a little bit more in detail about doing winged eyeliner. It takes a loooot of practice to do this nicely. The line has to be sharp, precise and clean.

The makeup is just a combination of my fav. eyeshadows, and everything else is pretty subtle and soft as usual.

Sorry for the absence of update guys. I’ve been just so busy with photoshoots every weekend and because of my theatre make-up class, my face is breaking out due to the heavy makeup…:(

Anyways, I hope you enjoy the tutorial. The names of the eyeshadows are in the description of the 1st three pictures.

ps: the reason why I used a small angled brush is because when you slide it to do the wing, you’ll get the outer eyelid to have a thicker eyeliner than the inner part, which what I like..=)

Pre-halloween photos

So! I had some skin sensitivity going on right now so I can’t put makeup on my skin because it’s very irritated, red and warm. We did some stuffs in theatre class today and one of the foundations that were used cause irritations on my skin. BUT I’m gonna show you some photos of what I did today in class and at home! =D

So I did a 1/2 skull makeup on my classmate, Ashley..She ROCKS! She wore that to home. the other half of her face we did a pretty makeup on her, and a red lip. After I took the photo I also added some black on top of the teeth that’s on her mouth. I was in a hurry so I couldn’t take another photo of her. It was my 1st time doing a skull makeup! lol..pretty sloppy, but good enough for people to stare..haahahahahah

The last 2 photos are my 2 lil’ brothers. They wanted me to do some halloween makeup for school tomorrow so I showed them that to see if they gonna like it and yeep they loved it. It’s just liquid latex (for the throat and the wrist) and you cut them, then add some colours. I had 3 layer of liquid latex for the throat and just 2 on the wrist.

For the one that’s on the top of the hand, I just layered liquid latex then tissue then latex then tissue then latex again. Before each layer of kleenex, I made sure that the latex is dry first. Then I just used a sponge and pounced some red/brown/black creams to make it looks like it’s burnt.

Well…I know this week I’m lacking on post, but hopefully next week when the face feels a bit better I can do more stuffs! =D

Update

Hey everyone!

Sorry for being absent last week. I had 3 photoshoots in a row and I was just simply exhausted. I’ll try to post a new tutorial tomorrow! It’ll be something that I did for one of the photoshoot. Hope you guys are doing great!

xoxo

Queen of Hearts

So,any1 as excited as I am for Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland movie????? lol..Anyways, today’s tutorial is based on the characted in Alice in Wonderland called “Queen of Hearts”. I’m not sure why it’s called Queen of Hearts while I thought it was supposed to be the Red Queen…oh well…

This is like a quick and cheap way of doing this look. It’s not perfect, but I thin reasonably good (for me at least, as I don’t do a lot of theatrical makeup for now..lol)…Well, I don’t know if you guys follow me on twitter, but I tried blocking my eyebrows using a glue stick at school. Since I left my glue stick at school, I bought a new 1 at Shopper’s. The one that I used in this tutorial is the washable glue and PLEASE DO NOT USE IT…I hate this glue! It’s NOT sticky at all and halfway through the tutorial, the glue just keep falling out and as you can see, my eyebrows are not covered properly…

The glue that I used in school is the 1 with the orange cap..Now, that thing is the real deal…it’s sticky and it doesn’t melt from your body heat.

Anyways, because it’s just a tutorial, I didn’t put any foundation on my neck and ears, but if you’re going out for halloween as queen of hearts, please do put the white foundation on the neck AND ears.

Now, for the products I actually used everything that’s on the MUFE Makeup Artist Pro Palette, but I’m going to give you a few alternatives to it. I actually found that the blue from MUFE palette started to crease even tho’ I’ve set it with eyeshadows..I wasn’t thrilled about that.

Anyhow, for the white foundation you can use: Ben Nye white creme foundation, MAC Chromastick, MAC Chromacake, white water-based face paint, Kryolan aquacolour in white, l’oreal true match foundation in w1

For the setting powder you can use: baby powder (yep, the ones that you use for the babies)

For the blue cream-based: MAC Chromastick in blue (the light blue), Revlon cream eyeshadow in coastal blue

For the eyelashes: well..you can just try to find a long spiky ones for the top lashes and a shorter spiky ones for the lower lashes from QUO or Ardell at Shopper’s

For the light blue eyeshadow: MAC Clarity…other light blue eyeshadows are fine as long as it’s matte

For the red lipstick: Any red lipstick will do. Try to get the ones that are blue-red and not orange-red. Blue-red lipsticks – MAC Russian Red, Revlon In The Red.

Any pencil eyeliner: Annabelle black pencil eyeliner

For the black gel eyeliner: MAC chromaline in black, MAC fluidline in blacktrack, l’oreal HIP gel eyeliner or a black water-based face paint

You don’t have to line your lips if you’re confident that you can do a good heart-shaped lips with lipbrush, but drawing outline makes it easier. You can use any lipliners.

I hope that helps! =D

Earthy

Since I did a purple glittery smoky eyes yesterday, I thought I’m gonna try a similar look but using a different brand and color eyeshadow. Today’s tutoriaaal is actually a look by NARS from his book. It’s on the front cover. I think he used Mekong eyeshadow, but I forgot if it actually is..I’m gonna double check with the book tomorrow cz I left it at school nooope! it’s not mekong..the one on his book is a black red glitter called night fever..boo..oh well.lol..whatev..=P

Anyhooow…I just simply looooooove his eyeshadows. Mekong is by far one of my fav. brown eyeshadows ever. I think eyeshadows by NARS are high quality eyeshadows. So pigmented, so rich in color, so easy to blend. It’s just so incredible!

Comparing MAC Young Punk and Nars Mekong, I feel that the glitter part is better from Nars. It’s super fine and it doesn’t disappear on me when I put it on, so I don’t really have to add more for some extra glitter. Both eyeshadows blend well and the colors are pretty good. I like both! =D

Anyways. Enjoy the tutorial.. My face was prep with smashbox high def foundation and my eyes were prep with benefit booing.

Products used:

Foundation: smashbox high def

eye primer: benefit booing

eyeshadow: Nars mekong

highlighter: MAC ricepaper

eyeliner: black pencil eyeliner from my school

mascara: prescriptives false eyelashes (sooo goood)

blush: coral blush from my school blush palette

lips: revlon nude attitude

ps: the last photo used a different color setting, cause I didn’t realized I had the color setting on “vivid” in the 1st 5 photo.

Hello aaall! How was your friday night? Mine was awesome! I got to do a geisha-theme makeup for several girls at Sizzle/Koi. If you guys live in Hamilton area, you should come down and check Sizzle/Koi at Hess village. They are one of the coolest place ever!

Anyways. This is like an overdue post. I just remembered I bought this eyeshadow from MAC. The style black collection is pretty awesome, actually. I bought 2 eyeshadows and a lipstick, as well as a greasepaint stick form the Dsquared collection. Today’s post will be a product review as well as a smoky-eyes tutorial.

So, I actually love the greasepaint stick from Dsquared collection and the young punk eyeshadow. The greasepaint stick is different than MAC shadesticks. I find the the shadesticks are hard to work with. The greasepaint stick, however, glides smoooothly and blends well. Overall, it’s just so awesome!!!

Young Punk eyeshadow is a black eyeshadow with purple glitter all over it. The glitter is just so beautiful. I found that if I used the eyeshadow with the greasepaint stick, the glitter sticks better to the eyelid. The eyeshadow blends easily, but the glitter may fall out when you blend it. I just re-apply more eyeshadow on the center of my eyelid after I blend everything for some extra glitter to compensate the ones that fell.

Overall, if you like to do a really dark smoky eyes, I think MAC Young Punk eyeshadow worths the money. The greasepaint stick is an extra. If you don’t have the greasepaint stick, you can always use other things like eyeliner or paint pot.

So, today’s tutorial is a requested look. Since your glasses are your accessories, I tend to keep the eye makeup simple for those who wear glasses. For a night out, I’ll just line the waterline and tightline for definition in the eyes. If you wear glasses most of the time, try to not get too fancy with the eye colors because your glasses and your eyes might contrast too much. Try to stay more on the neutral side.

However, with that said, you can play up with the rest of your face! Do a more corally or rosy cheeks or do a brighter lip colors or go with bright red or deep plum.

In this tutorial, I used my sis glasses. I don’t wear glasses. My eyesights are pretty good..=)

I prep my face with Laura Mercier foundation (full coverage). I applied it with a foundation brush all over my face and my eyelids and down the neck. Then I used my fingers and blend it towards the hairline. I lightly mist a moisture spray afterwards.

Products used:

Foundation: Laura Mercier Silk Foundation

Moisture Spray: evian water moisture spray

Eyeshadows: MAC Patina, MAC handwritten

Pencil eyeliner: dior in black

Mascara: givenchy phenomenon

Blush: bodyshop roseflower blush

Lips: covergirl in watermelon

h20 fairy

LOL..sorry, I just have to do it..Today’s tutorial is a requested fairy look. I decided to do a water (hence the h2o) fairy since I didn’t have my palettes with me. Green, yellow and blue are the only colors available at home. Anyhow, I had lots of fun doing this look because, the blue eyeshadows that I used have a pearly sheen to it, and it fits perfectly with the whole water theme.

My face is prepped with Smashbox high def foundation (i love this thing! lol) and my eyelid is prepped with MAC Soft Ochre paint pot

Products used:

Foundation: Smashbox high def foundation

Eye primer: MAC Soft Ochre paint pot

Highlighter: under the brows: MAC photo realism; all over the face: MAC mineralized skinfinish duo (limited ed)
