It’s 2017! Eeek! 2016 flew by so fast, I couldn’t believe that 2017 is already here. Anyways, one of my resolutions last year was to wear eye creams regularly, and boy oh boy did I use eye creams?! Throughout the whole year I’ve been trying out new eye creams to see which ones work for me, and I thought I’d share with you guys these 2 organic eye creams that I’ve received from Made From Earth. Read more below for more pictures and my experiences using these 2 eye creams.

So as mentioned above, I received 2 eye creams from Made From Earth, namely Somaluxe Stem Cell + Peptide Complex & Chamomile Eye Therapy. Both are organic skincare, so if you are looking at organic eye creams, you should definitely check Made From Earth out!

Anyways, so I tried each eye cream for 5 days. I took a week break in between application of each eye cream.  Let’s start with my experience using the Chamomile Eye Therapy.

What is the Chamomile Eye Therapy?

A rich moisturizing eye treatment, using roman chamomile, to gently calm the eye area. Moisturizes using Vitamin C and advanced minerals to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and the signs of aging. Individual results may vary. Genetics, diet and lifestyle are also contributing factors for healthy skin.

Chamomile, when combined with Evening Primrose and Vitamin E, provides a soothing and moisturizing effect to the delicate eye area; results are eyes that appear hydrated, calm and fresh. 1 oz 30 ml.

As you can see below, my eyes do appear more hydrated and the fine lines under my eyes look less defined. I love using this eye cream while I’m prepping and priming my skin. It fills the line under my eyes, making it more plum and thus preventing my concealer from settling into the fine lines.

I’ve used this Chamomile Eye Treatment on one of my mature clients, and I have to say she loves it! She had very dry under eye skin and lots of lines. When she’s stressed out, her under eyes get very puffy & dark. All I have to do is to apply this eye cream under her eyes, leave it there for about a minute or two while I prep her skin and it instantly brightened her eyes.

The only thing that I don’t like about it is the scent. I’ve never been a fan of anything Chamomile, and this is no exception. Nevertheless, it is a great eye cream. It gets absorbed easily into the skin and it’s lightweight. Love it!

Now for the next one, we are going to talk about the Somaluxe Stem + Peptide Complex eye cream.

What is the Somaluxe Stem Cell + Peptide Complex?

Stimulates new skin cells, collagen production and skin cell longevity. Peptides and botanicals soften skin texture and add firmness. Use once per day, morning or night.

The unique combination of peptides and hyaluronic acid repair age damage, plump, and bring skin back to a healthy foundation. It contains a high concentration of Hyaluronic Acid, Organic Coconut, and Vitamin C for skin healing. Long term use of this product leads to clear, luminous skin and over time fine lines and wrinkles are less visible. The product is moisturizing enough to be used as a moisturizer (i.e. you will not need to apply additional moisturizer). 2oz 59g.

The first thing I’m going to say is that this cream smells AMAZING. It smells like cocoa! The second thing is that this is definitely very creamy. I find that this cream is way too heavy for my own skin type (combination). Even though it is creamy, oddly enough it’s not moisturizing enough for dry mature skin (i.e. my mom).

The cream feels quite interesting, and it looks like it’s been whipped or some sort. It definitely feels heavier than the Chamomile Eye Therapy, and I don’t find that the Somaluxe cream gets absorbed well into my skin.

It doesn’t really fill the lines under my eyes either, and to be honest I don’t find any difference after 5 days. If anything, I feel like my dark circles got worse after using this cream, probably because I find that this cream causes a bit of an itch when I applied it to my face.

Between the Chamomile Eye Therapy and the Somaluxe Stem Cell + Peptide Complex cream, I do have to say, if I have to choose one I’d choose the Chamomile Eye Therapy. It’s more moisturizing, it’s lightweight and it gets absorbed easily into the skin.
