Coral Eyes with Sleek Makeup Showstoppers

Alright! So, I’ve been wanting to do another tutorial using Sleek Makeup Showstoppers palette (if you are in Southeast Asia region, you can buy it from Luxola). I wanted to use the coral shade since it’s so pretty! I’ve done another tutorial using the same palette in my Smoky Purple post.

Oh also, I’ve done some research regarding the names of the eyeshadows in this palette. Apparently, there was a misprint on the labels that came inside this palette. The correct names for each shade is as the picture below. Thanks to Gloria from Beautiful with Brains for clarifying it on her blog!

sleek-makeup-Showstoppers-Shades

Please note that on picture in the bottom left corner, my eyeliner might look weird but I can assure you it is not. It’s because the camera couldn’t focus on my eyelashes, which is so frustrating! Anyways, I might have to invest in a better lens.

Anyways, my eyelids are prep using Smashbox eyelid primer.

How-to:

1. I applied Oh So Special all over my eyelid using a flat eyeshadow brush.

2. Using a clean blending brush, I applied Sunset above my crease.

3. I packed on Noir on the outer V using an angled eyeshadow brush. Lightly, I dragged Noir on to my crease.

4. Using another clean blending brush, I blended Noir out using a small circular motion.

5. I applied Noir using an angled eyebrow brush on the outer half of my lower lash line. I also applied Sunset on the lower lash line on the inner half.

6. Using a small shader brush, I applied Storm on the inner corner of my eyes.

7. I also created a winged eyeliner using Kanebo Kate Super Sharp eyeliner.

8. I lined my waterline using L’oreal Voluminous Smoldering eyeliner.

9. I curled my lashes and applied Cover Girl Lash Blast mascara, and applied false eyelashes.

10. I filled my brows using Anastasia Brow Wiz in Brunette.

11. On my face, I applied Smashbox Halo foundation using Sigma Round Kabuki brush.

12. I concealed my under eyes using MUFE Concealer palette no. 3 – the salmon colored shade.

13. I applied contour on my nose and under my cheeks using L’oreal Super-Blendable Crayon Concealer in W6-7-8. I blended it out using CoverFX cream foundation brush.

13. On my cheeks, I applied Maybelline Face Studio Master Glaze in Make a Mauve, blending it out using my finger.

14. I set my face using MUFE Pro finish powder.

15. I applied Revlon Mauve It Over matte lipstick on my lips.

Wearable Purple Eye Makeup

How is everyone this week? It’s been really cold here in Canada! If you are anywhere in the colder region, keep yourself warm, yes?! Anyways, due to the cold gloomy weather, I wanted to create a look in which I incorporated a little bit of colour. I’ve decided to do a wearable purple eye makeup. It’s super simple and easy, you can use any colour of your liking on the crease. I chose purple just because I think it’ll look great on every eye colours.

The trick to this light colored eye makeup is to use a black mascara and eyeliner to tie the whole look together. Black mascara and eyeliner are a must with this look since the eyeshadows used in this tutorial is quite light, and I didn’t use any contour colour on the crease.

Wearable purple makeup

How-to:

1. I applied NYX jumbo eyeshadow pencil in Milk all over my eyelid using my finger.

2. Using a fluffy blending brush (or you can use a flat eyeshadow brush), I applied Bad Girl from Sleek Makeup Showstoppers palette all over the lid.

3. Using a clean fluffy crease brush, I applied MUFE purple eyeshadow no. 92 on the crease.

4. I blended the purple eyeshadow slightly using a clean blending brush, blending the eyeshadow upwards above the crease.

5. I created a winged eyeliner using an angled eyeliner brush and L’oreal Infallible Gel Lacquer Liner in Blackkest Black.

6. Using a clean angled eyeliner brush, I applied UD Faint eyeshadow along the lower lash line.

7. I also lined my waterline using MAC Chromagraphic pencil eyeliner in NC15.

8. I filled my brows using Anastasia Duo Brow Powder in Brunette.

9. I curled my lashes, and applied Clinique High Impact Mascara on both upper and lower lashes.

Feel free to add false eyelashes to make your eyes look more wide awake. I ran out of falsies, so I didn’t apply any.

10. On my face, I applied Smashbox Halo foundation all over using Sigma Flat Kabuki brush.

12. I lightly contour my face using MAC Skinfinish natural in Medium Deep.

13. I applied MAC Dainty blush on my cheeks.

14. On my lips, I applied Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede lipstick in Socialite, and added a few dabs of YSL Glossy Stain in Peche Cerra-Colla (27).

Soft Romantic Makeup using UD Naked 3

I’m sure you guys are getting tired of my UD Naked 3 obsession, but I have to share this look with you just to show how versatile this palette is. Today tutorial, I’m using UD Naked 3 to create a soft romantic makeup which can be used for daily makeup, date makeup, and even bridal makeup.

This look is very pretty and natural looking. The eyes are made to look brighter and bigger looking, while the rest of the face is kept fresh and slightly flushed. I also skip the glossy lips, and opt for a natural looking lip color. Everything about this makeup is about keeping everything to the minimal.

I’ve done something similar to this look in my Chanel Kaska Beige re-visited post. If you prefer a stronger, more intense eye look, please do check my other tutorials using the UD Naked 3 palette

I’ve also added a Youtube Video tutorial using UD Naked 3 palette!

Product of The Week: UD Naked 3 Review

Finally, I get the chance to do the UD Naked 3 review! As you all know, I LOVE this Naked 3 palette. I’ve done several tutorials with this palette- Rose Smoky Eyes, UD Look#2, Berry lips, and Rose Smoky Eyes 3. I do owned the other 3 palettes, Naked 1, Naked 2, and Naked Basics.

Anyways, I do have to say that this is by far my favorite Naked palette! I absolutely recommend this palette for everyone. The UD Naked 3 palette consists of such soft, rose and gold colored hues. I absolutely love it!

  • Great pigment pay-off
  • You get neutral shades, so it’s wearable for daily use
  • 12 eyeshadows in 1 case!

Neutral Eyes & MAC Diva Lipstick

I was asked to do a “Bella Twilight” inspired tutorial. I don’t watch Twilight since I don’t like it, so I had to google up some images of Bella. Her makeup is mostly very natural, with very little blush. I decided to use Bella’s eye makeup as an inspiration for the eyes.

However, I changed the lips since I like more colors on my face. I added extra eyeliner as well just to define my eyes, but you can skip the step altogether. I don’t think the overall look is too inspired by Bella, but the eyes are quite close to how she has it on the Breaking Dawn poster.

Anyhow, I’ve decided to go with MAC Diva lipstick for the lips since I like this lipstick, and I want to wear it more for tutorials. I absolutely love MAC Diva! It’s not too dark, not too light, and it’s perfect for winter. I have done another post using MAC Diva lipstick but with a glitter cat eyeliner in “Holiday Makeup using MAC Diva”. If you’re not used in creating cat eyeliner, this is a good alternative.

I added the liquid liner after I applied my falsies since I didn’t decide to apply the liner after I completed the whole look. You can skip the liquid liner altogether if you want.

smashbox filter trio eyeshadow

4. I blended Sumatra out to remove any harsh lines.

5. Using an angled eyeliner brush, I applied UD Blackout eyeshadow along my upper and lower lash lines.

6. I curled my lashes and applied Maybelline Great Lash mascara on both upper and lower lashes.

7. I filled my brows using a mixture of MAC Omega and MAC Brun.

L’oreal Infallible Purple Obsession

I was watching Lisa Eldridge Purple Glitter youtube video, and wanted to re-create that look on myself. It definitely looks amazing, and since I do own a pot of purple glitter I wanted to give it a shot. I do not have all the products that she used on the video, so I had to improvise with whatever I owned. I also modify it so it suits me.

Anyways, halfway through my tutorial, I realized I couldn’t open up my glitter. The purple glitter is at the bottom container of my glitter stack, and I guessed I didn’t close it properly last time. So, I omitted the glitter out of the equation.

So, to make the purple pops even more, I decided to apply L’oreal Infallible Purple Obsession eyeshadow with a wet brush. I love using the L’oreal Infallible eyeshadows wet. It gives such great intensity and has a nice sheen to it!

purple smoky eyes

How-to:

1. I applied Chanel Illusion d’Ombre in Illusoire on my eyelid using my finger.

2. Using a flat eyeshadow brush, I applied L’oreal Infallible eyeshadow in Purple Obsession.

3. Using a fluffy blending brush, I applied Lotus Flower from Sleek Makeup iDivine Snapshot above the crease and on the inner corner of the lid.

4. At this point, I realized I couldn’t open my purple glitter, so I decided to wet my flat eyeshadow brush and re-applied L’oreal Infallible Purple Obsession eyeshadow on the lid.

5. I lined my upper and lower lashline, as well as waterline using L’oreal Infallible Gel Lacquer Liner in Blackest Black (using the brush that comes with it).

6. Using a pencil brush, I applied L’oreal Infallible Purple Obsession on the lower lid.

7. I curled my lashes, and applied L’oreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara on both top and lower lashes.

8. I applied several individual false eyelashes (camera didn’t pick those lashes) on the upper lashes.

Rose Smokey Eyes III with UD Naked 3

I think I’ve made my obsession with UD Naked 3 palette pretty clear – I’m in love with it! The colors are wonderful, the pigments are so easy to blend, the double-ended brush is pretty amazing. What’s not to love?! So, to show another appreciation for this palette, I’ve decided to do another the third Rose Smoky Eyes tutorial. This look is far more intense and darker than the first rose smokey eyes that I did. I also think this one is prettier than the 2nd smoky eyes that I did with Naked 3. If you prefer a more natural looking one, I do have a post for you in my Berry Lips post.

I’ve also added a Youtube Video tutorial using UD Naked 3 palette!

This look is perfect for those who’re not afraid to play with the darker color, and already feel comfortable with blending. You can make it even darker and more intense if you’d like by adding a matte black eyeshadow (i.e. MAC Carbon) on the outer V. I like doing it this way since I want to showcase the Rose eyeshadow.

I hope you enjoy this look! I know a lot of people on Pinterest enjoyed my first tutorial! I’m so grateful that it’s getting 700+ repins on Pinterest.

I know I’ve said I was going to do a review, I’ll try to do it soon. It’s just so cold in Canada right now, it caused me to go on hibernation mode..hahaha..In all seriousness, though, -40 deg. Celsius is not a joke!

rose smoky eyes

How-to:

1. I prepped my eyelids using Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin.

2. I applied Burnout on the inner third of my eyelid using the flat-end of the brush.

(I wiped away excess shadow on the brush on a clean towel before step 3)

3. Using the same brush, I applied Liar on the middle of the eyelid.

(I wiped away excess shadow on the brush on a clean towel before step 4 )

4. Again, using the same brush, I applied Mugshot on the outer third of my eyelid.

5. Using the blending-end of the brush, I blended the edge of the eyeshadow.

6. I applied Blackheart using a small crease brush on the outer V.

7. After wiping excess eyeshadow from the crease brush I used on step 6, I dragged Blackheart on to my crease, and blended it out.

urban decay naked 3

8. Using a fluffy brush, I applied Limit right at the edge where Blackheart meets with my skin. This helps to blend out Blackheart, and make a nice transition to my skin.

9. I lined my waterline and tightline using L’oreal Voluminous Smoldering eyeliner. On the lower lid, I applied Mugshot using an angled eyeliner brush, then Blackheart very close to the roots of the lower lashes.

10. Then, I created a winged eyeliner on the upper lash line using L’oreal Super Liner Ultra Sharp Tip.

11. I curled my lashes and applied Buxom Lash mascara on both top and bottom lashes.

12. For extra drama, I added false lashes for extra length and volume. These falsies were samples from my friend, which is currently in production.

13. I filled my brows using a mix of Anastasia Brow Wiz in Ash Blonde and Brunette.

14. I applied Giorgio Armani Maestro foundation on my face, blending it using my fingers.

15. On my cheeks, I applied Revlon Cream Blush in Charmed Enchantment using a foundation brush.

16. Then, I applied MAC cream base in Pearl on top of my cheekbones, bridge of my nose, and cupid’s bow using my finger.

17. I applied MAC Please Me lipstick on my lips using a lip brush. Then, I added a little bit of L’occitane lip balm just to keep my lips moist since it’s so cold here in Canada!!!

18. My hair was set using a velcro rollers set and 1.5in Chi curling iron.

Black Smokey Eye Tutorial

Today black smokey eye tutorial is a requested look by  Nurina, who asked for a Taylor Momsen look. I decided to do Taylor’s signature look – the black smokey eyes. Anyways, I’ve done something similar to this look in my Classic Smoky Eyes using UD Naked post.

Since this tutorial is a bit more intense, I brought the black eyeshadow up above the crease. Taylor Momsen signature smoky eyes look is very messy, very dark and sometimes she paired it with red lips. You can pair it with red lips, or dark red lips to make it more goth-like.  However, I prefer to go with a peachy lips instead, keeping the focus just on the eyes.

Keep in mind this is an inspired look, so I’ve modify it to suit my face as well as my style. Taylor Momsen’s smoky eye sits too low on the lower lid to my liking. Be warn if the black eyeshadow is very low on the lid, it might make you look older, or it can make you look like you have panda eyes! As cute as pandas are, I’m sure you don’t want to look like you have panda eyes, right?!

black smoky eyes

How-to:

1. I applied MUFE Aqua Cream #1 Anthracite using a synthetic paint brush on both upper and lower lid. I’ve decided to use this so I can get interesting texture on the eyes. If you want to use a matte eyeshadow only, please check my Classic Smoky Eyes post.

2. I lined my waterline and tightline using a black kohl pencil eyeliner by Annabelle.

3. Using a shader brush, I applied Crave eyeshadow from UD Naked Basics palette on top of my eyelid. I extended the eyeshadow to slightly above the crease.

4. Using a clean blending brush, I applied Foxy eyeshadow from UD Naked Basics right at the edge of the black eyeshadow.

5. I applied Crave eyeshadow from UD Naked Basics palette on the lower lid.

6. I filled my brows using Shu Uemura Hard Formula brow pencil, and then set it using Anastasia Brow Powder in Brunette.

7. I curled my lashes and applied L’oreal Carbon Black mascara on both lower and upper lashes.

8. I applied UD Naked Skin foundation using a Sigma Flat Top Kabuki Brush.

9. I contoured and highlight my face using Smashbox Contour kit.

10. I applied Chanel Blush de Horizon very lightly on my cheeks.

11. On my lips, I applied Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede lipstick in Socialite, and add a few dabs of YSL Glossy Stain in Pêche Cerra-Cola (27).

Urban Decay Naked 3 Look #2

I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday! 🙂 I’m sorry if I’m not too active on the social media platforms, such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest these days since I’m enjoying some time off with my loved ones. Aaah, who am I to kid, I’m still very much active on Pinterest..hehehe..I’m addicted to Pinterest!

Anyways, today’s tutorial is another look using Urban Decay Naked 3 palette! I have to say I do love this palette a lot more than the other 2. May be it’s just my obsession with anything Rose Gold! Anyways, this tutorial is an evening look, that’s not too smoky, but at the same time not too light either. If you want to make it smokier, you can use Blackheart from the palette instead of Darkside.

I’ve done other tutorials using similar technique in Pearlescent and Smoky Purple posts. The other tutorial using the same Urban Decay Naked 3 palette is on the Rose Smoky post.

Rose Smoky Eyes using Urban Decay Naked 3

Happy Holiday, everyone! Merry Christmas for those who are celebrating, and I hope everyone is having a blast! I know it might be a day too early for my North American readers, but it’s already the 25th in Indonesia.

Anyways, I wanted to post this tutorial up just because I recently gotten my hands on the Urban Decay Naked 3 (you’d know if you follow me on Instagram!!! ;). I actually didn’t want to get one, but I decided to since the shades are gorgeous!

I didn’t want to do a super dark smoky eyes, as I prefer a much softer side for this look. This rose smoky eyes look is very wearable, and so easy to do! I love how the pink eyeshadow has a gold undertone, so you won’t look sickly.

If you want to check out a more intense smoky eyes, check my post Rose Smoky eyes III, and if you prefer a more subtle, low-key look please check my Berry Lips post!
