Colourful Arabian/Cleopatra inspired eyes

I got 2 requests, 1 to do a pink/purple look and the other to do an Arabian look. I was just trying out for this look, thus I didn’t do my whole face. But, since I haven’t post anything yet this week, I thought might as well post it on the blog. Have you guys watch Prince of Persia? The makeup is absolutely lovely! I’m going to do a look based on the princess tmr. Actually the eyeliner for this look is similar to hers when she was going to be presented to the king.

So, there’s a lot of colours involve, and lots of patience and practice to do the eyeliner. Don’t worry if your left/right eyeliner doesn’t match, because your eyes are of different sizes, right. Just try your best to make them look similar.

Summer Look #1

So, summer is almost here (ALMOST, not quite yet). The tutorial today will look great on anybody! Keep your makeup light and simple for the summer. You want to look fresh but not made up. Sheer out your foundation with a damped sponge and keep the makeup to a minimal. Remember, LESS IS MORE!

So so so..Spring is almost here..lol..almost, because it’s Canada..one day warm, the next day cold..Anyways..I’ve a bunch of requests coming in and I don’t know which 1 to do first. So, I thought this post might benefit a few people who are attending wedding party in summer. As the guests, we, obviously do not want to steal the bride’s thunder by looking prettier than she is..(jz kidding)..lol..

Anyways..so, the makeup should be kept light and bright so we look as lively as possible. I like using the colours in this tutorial because it’s neutral and it matches any dresses colour, or even the wedding colour theme (if they have any). The look is not over the top, very subtle, refreshing and youthful, good for day and night. There’s a little bit more blush in this tutorial than usual, just cause I think the blush makes a difference in the look. If applied correctly, the blush can lift up the face and makes it look youthful

Today’s tutorial is a Xmas look..well actually, a party look, but because Xmas is near, so I’d say it’s a Xmas look! lol…I’m using gold and bronze tones instead of green and red because I want to do a tutorial where everyone can wear it for a party. It’s a very simple look, yet it suits everyone…The look emphasizes heavily on the eyes..I’d do one where I’ll emphasize the lips next time…For the products, I used eyeshadows from my country, which are not sold here, but you can find similar ones everywhere…

MAC duochromes

So I bought some stuffs from MAC the other day and I specifically was looking for duochrome pigments..And I’ve to say I’m happy with the purchase…The pigments are soooo pretty!! So anyways, I already have some duochrome eyeshadows (club and starflash), but the pigments are just so AWESOME!

If you guys have no idea what are duochromes, check out the photos! Basically the duochrome have 2 colors on it and depending on what base you put underneath, the color changes. For example, the pigment brown blue without any color base will show up as brown eyeshadow with blue sparkles, but once you put a black base underneath (using either blackground paint pot or eyeliner), the blue will show up even more…

The 2 duochromes that I bought were brown blue and old gold…Deep blue is not duochrome, but it’s just so pretty, I couldn’t resist..lol

Other stuffs that I bought were soft ochre paint pot and deift paint pot…Oh, and I bought chromaline in black..I have yet to try it on, but I’m thinking of using this instead of fluidline just because it’s bigger and cheaper..lol..It has similar consistency as fluidline, but I think fluidline is creamier and gives more of a shinier finish than chromaline…

Anyhooow..you guys should check my fb photos! We just finished our hairstyling course and we did our fantasy hair do today…guess whaaat…I got the most votes! Yay! So happy to get 1st place esp. since I wasn’t expecting to get any votes at all..lol..EVERYONE DID AN AWESOME HAIRDO!! I just loooove what every1 did!! check the album out here

Finally! About time for me to do another tutorial, no? hehehe…The weather has been pretty weird, it’s been warm, cold, hot, rainy..this type of weather makes me prone to sickness!

Anyhow..Today’s look is inspired by all the greens that I see around! =D Very simple, very bright and it doesn’t take much time. Since the colors are pretty bright and bold, you might want to tone down your makeup..Wear a rosy color blush and clear lipgloss to finish up the look! =)

Today’s eye-look is a requested look by my very close friend..She asked me to use “dark gold and black, with white eyeshadow on the inner v”..While doing the tutorial, I completely forgot about the white eyeshadow on the inner V until I’m done with the eyeliner. LOL..So, apologies for the mess on the inner v request. Also, I don’t have a darker gold eyeshadow that the one that I have from MAC (goldmine). I think I might have to look for a better golden eyeshadow that this one, since it’s frosty.

I tried many ways before finally choosing this steps that you’ll see in the tutorial. It’s quite difficult to combine the gold and the black together, especially since I still want the gold to be prominent. Anyhow, enjoy the tutorial. You can finish up the look by applying rose/coral blush on the cheeks and a nude lipstick.

Products used:

Base – benefit lemon aid

Eyeshadow – MAC goldmine, annabelle black eyeshadow and no. 1 and 11 from the 88 palette.

Eyeliner – MAC fluidline in black track, dior pencil eyeliner in black

Highlighter – MAC perfect topping

p/s: start with little amount of black eyeshadow and gradually add more if you want.

Sakura

Today’s inspiration is taken from my religious studies class – Japanese religions. I, particularly, love this saying in class “mono no aware”. It means appreciation of beauty that fades, and my prof always used the cherry blossom (or sakura) as a metaphor, since cherry blossom only grows for a short while and it dies.

Whenever I think of Sakura flowers, I can only think of the pink and the gold. So, here you go. Today’s look is very simple, subtle yet sweet. For me, this is the look for spring. The colors are soft and not overpowering, yet you can still see the hint of color.

It’s a very easy look for day. I just love it. Well, I hope you enjoy today’s tutorial. (oh, btw, read the instruction when you enlarge each photo for a special makeup tip. )

Purple Gold

So, I thought I’ve posted this on Monday, but it was actually saved as a draft..Oh well, anyhow, this week hasn’t been a good week at all. Too many things are happening. If you think that I don’t look cheerful in the pic or if my eyes were empty, you are right! lol..

But! Life goes on and here’s my tutorial. Today’s tutorial is inspired by my purple gold necklace. You’ve heard of white gold and yellow gold, but I actually owned a purple gold. Not many people know about this because it was patented by a Singaporean company I think. So, they’re exclusively sold in Singapore only 4 years a go. But I do think they start selling this in China. I’m not sure about that though. But, yea, if you’re curious about what is purple gold, you can find them in Spore..lol

So, I took the name purple gold quite literally even though the real color doesn’t have any hint of yellow in it. The look is pretty soft and subtle, you can turn this into a night look easily by applying black eyeshadow on the outer V and blend it inwards, line the waterline and 3 coats of mascara. But, since I was going to school, I kept it subtle.
