Apply your blush across your cheekbones, instead of on the apples of the cheeks. This way you can have a more natural looking blush. You can definitely apply your blush on the apples of the cheeks, but it might cause your face to look older, and “chubbier”.

If you’ve a round face, this is the best way to “slim” down your cheeks instead of contouring. Some of you who are an expert an contouring, you can most definitely contour your face, but those of you who are not, try using this technique the next time you apply your blush.

Your blush should be 2 fingers away from your lower lashline, and it should stop about 2 fingers away from your nose (or even 2 1/2 fingers if you think your cheeks are too prominent). Start from the hairline and go back and forth (for powder blush). Afterwards, blend your blush with your fingers.

For cream blush, it’s the same, but apply it with your fingers, dab and spread the colors across the cheekbones.

here’s my lovely friend, Amy who kindly show us where you can apply your blush. The oval in the pic is smaller than what I mentioned, but it gives you a rough idea where you should start the blush.

Physician’s formula blush is matte, MAC mineralized blush is shimmer, BUT both have a certain glow to it. Rosy glow is not all matte, it somehow has a subtle glow in it and MAC mineralized blush’s shimmer is not crazy shimmery, but glowy. Both have this subtle glow similar to when you put on a bronzer (without the sun-kissed look)..I think you don’t understand what I’m trying to convey here, right?..lol

Dainty is ca$25, rosy glow is about 10 bucks (I think..I forgot..lol)..For both blushes, if you want more color, you can build on it (remember start little and add more if needed). I do think that dainty is more pigmented than rosy glow, but as you build up the color, rosy glow starts to be as pigmented.

If you’re tight on budget and you’re looking for a blush that suits your complexion go for the physician’s formula.

If you’re looking for a pop of color in your cheek and have extra money to spend on, go get dainty

Both are really good buy and they’re both mineral products! I know that some people are sensitive to certain ingredients in mineral products, but I’ve no reaction to it (I’ve crazy sensitive problematic skin if you don’t realized that already)

Tip:
