Priyanka Chopra Golden Globes Makeup Inspired Look

Priyanka Chopra Golden Globes makeup is absolutely stunning. She looks drop-dead gorgeous in her golden dress, her makeup and hair were on pointe, I just loved how she looked at the award show. I love it so much I knew I had to do a Priyanka Chopra Golden Globes Makeup Inspired Look. I talked more below regarding what her makeup artist used, and of course there’s a step-by-step pictorial accompanied this look below. So, read more below for more!

So to start off this post, I just want to say that I know I am nowhere near Priyanka’s goddess status. I’m merely but a humble human. I’m just using her picture as reference for this look, which can be described as something similar to a 90s grunge makeup. That vampy pout paired with bold eyes is definitely reminiscence of the 90s look.

Taken from People’s magazine website (they have the exclusive bts article, which you can read here), it says that Stephanie Brooke Barnes (Priyanka’s makeup artist) used mostly Laura Mercier products on the actress. On Priyanka’s eyes, she mostly used eyeshadows from the Laura Mercier Caviar palette. She also added that she used Stila Liquid Metal eyeshadow in Gold to add shimmer to the center of Priyanka’s eyelid.

Since I don’t actually own the Caviar palette, I decided to re-create this look using my Laura Mercier Artist palette. My version of this look is slightly more suited for hooded lids, and for those of you who don’t actually have much definition on the crease. Like I’ve mentioned in the video, I’m not sure if Priyanka actually have a crease colour, but I added a crease colour on my eyes since I need that extra crease definition.

For the gold shimmer, since I don’t own Stila Gold Liquid Metal eyeshadow (however, I do own the rose gold shade), I patted some Gold pigment from Pat Mcgrath Metalmorphosis 005 kit instead.

The one thing I wished I had done differently for my eye makeup is that I should have used NARS Pygar eyeshadow for the eyelid. I feel that the Bamboo eyeshadow on my eyelid area is a bit too light and it doesn’t reflects as much shimmer as I’d like it to be. I’m not a 100% loving how this look turned out but it’s alright, I could’ve done better but oh well.

For her skin, her makeup artist used more of a luminous foundation. However, lately my skin has been acting up & looked pretty oily, so I decided to go with my Burberry cashmere foundation for more of a soft matte finish. Priyanka’s skin look flawless, and I liked how her skin isn’t overly glowy or dewy. She looks very natural and so I was pretty happy with my choice of foundation for this look. I think my skin looks pretty natural without any excess highlights.

For Priyanka’s lips, her makeup artist mixed 2 shades of Laura Mercier’s Velour Lovers Lip Colour – An Affair & Seduction. I, however, do not own those 2 lipsticks so I decided to grab my Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Nori. Nori is a deep red-brown lipstick which I’m loving at the moment. However, Nori is not matte, so to make it matte I dusted a light layer of my Laura Mercier Translucent setting powder to make it matte. I was going to go with Avenue by Colourpop, but I didn’t want a super matte lip colour. I really like that creamy lipstick look instead of a liquid lipstick look. I’m not sure if you know what I mean but I, personally, disliked the finish of a matte liquid lipstick.
