Dermalogica Clear Start Overnight Treatment Review

As promised on my social media, I’m back with a new Dermalogica Clear Start Overnight Treatment Review! I was sent this product to try, and if you want to know my 7-day experience with this product, read more below (there’s a before-after picture too!)

Dermalogica Clear Start review

Hey guys! I’m back and will be resuming back to my weekly blogging/vlogging schedule again. Anyways, today I want to share my experience with you guys using the Dermalogica Clear Start Overnight Treatment. I received this product as a PR sample, but as always, I’m always honest and open with you guys. All opinions are my own and based on my experience.

Dermalogica Clear Start review

Just a quick note, Dermalogica has a whole line of Clear Start to help you with your acne issues. I was only given the Overnight Treatment, and that’s what I’ll be talking about today.

So what is the Dermalogica Clear Start Overnight Treatment all about?

Wake up to clearer skin! This invisible treatment absorbs quickly then works all night to fight breakouts. Rest easy as it purifies to ensure you awake with less congestion, fewer breakouts and reduced redness.

Dermalogica, 2016

From the bottle, the ingredients include Salicylic Acid (which we know helps to kill acne bacteria, clear out clogged pores and many other things), Camphor & Licorice (to keep redness at bay), and Tea Tree, Lavender & Camelia Sinesis (to keep overactive oil in check)

The Overnight Treatment cream itself looks white when you squeeze it out from the tube, but as you apply it to the skin it’s clear and transparent. I recommend applying this all over your face at night as the last step to your skincare. Apply a light layer and let it completely absorbed into your skin before going to bed (give it about 10 mins before hitting the pillow).

I’ve used this product for 7 days. The first thing I can tell you is that you might not notice much difference on my skin between Day 0 and day 7 from the pictures below. The reason for this is because my skin is behaving really well and clearing up ever since the weather gets warmer. The one breakout that you’ll see in the picture is on the left side of my face, near my eye. Even that was quite small, and was already in the process of healing.

The one thing I can tell you, though, I noticed that my skin on Day 7 is not as oily as Day 0. I also feel that my skin isn’t breaking out even though I ate a lot of food that usually cause me to break out (i.e. shrimps, eggs, peanuts etc).

So, can I say that this product works? Personally, for me, I have yet to notice a huge difference in using this product for a week. I’ll keep using this product over the next few weeks, and will update you guys on day 28!

Update – I wanted to do another post for day 28, but there isn’t much difference on my skin since I haven’t been breaking out that much. I’ll try to wait until I have a new visible breakout and take more pictures, and perhaps do another update for you guys!
